After the Major in Rome, Premier Padel travels to Genoa to participate in its second event in Italy. Week one will be emotionally fraught following the news that multiple elite couples are divorcing. Not like in Bordeaux, every pair will be there.
Since the Genoa competition is a P2 event, the winners will receive 500 ranking points in the fiercely competitive current ranking race. Semifinalists will score 180 points, quarterfinalists 90, and finalists 300 points.
This is the last event before the summer break and the sixth P2 tournament of the Premier Padel season (with Malaga and Finland still to come).
Unlike in Bordeaux, Coello-Tapia, Chingotto-Galán, Lebrón-Paquito, and Di Nenno-Stupa will be in the men’s draw. ‘Superpibes’ and Paquito-Lebrón have both said they will no longer be touring together.
The big news in the women’s draw is Bea González’s return once her injury has healed. Sánchez-Josemaría, the top pair, will also be important protagonists.
These are the draws.
