Fede Chingotto resurrects after teaming up with Ale Galan. The new team “Chingalan” challenges Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello after reaching six finals and winning three trophies in six events. These are hardly the padel fanatics who will be complaining about us being treated to a real clash between these two pairs.
After defeating their opponents 6-0 on Monday in the first set of the Chilean final, Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello started to feel the ghost of Mar Del Plata haunt them. They had lost in Argentina after winning the opening set against pair number 2.
Agus clarified at a change of ends that “King Arturo” and the “Mozart of Catamarca” needed to maintain composure in order to be able to get their heads above water.
“There is only one key in this match: it is to be in the right mind. Even if it looks like Chingotto is 1,95 meters tall and it seems impossible to score a point on him, we have to stay strong in our heads so as not to get discouraged. This is what they provoke, but also what we provoke in our adversaries. By hanging on mentally, we stay in the match.”
Eventually Tapia and Coello won 6-0, 4-6, 6-4.
