The International Padel Federation (FIP) has announced the launch of the FIP Euro Padel Cup for 2025. This new competition will replace the European Padel Championships and aims to involve more nations in light of the extraordinary growth of padel, especially in Europe. The event will feature 40 men’s and 40 women’s teams, divided into three phases.
The first two phases will take place from July 7th to 13th at a yet-to-be-announced venue. In the first phase, national teams with the lowest rankings will compete for four spots in the second phase. The second phase will see national teams ranked 5th to 16th in Europe, along with the four qualified teams from the first phase, competing for four spots in the final phase. The top four ranked teams in Europe—Spain, Italy, Portugal, and France—will join the four advancing teams in the final phase.
The FIP Euro Padel Cup is a response to the increasing demand for participation in major continental events and aims to provide more athletes with the opportunity to compete at an international level. The new format is designed to promote greater participation and sustainability, reflecting the sport’s growing popularity and competitiveness.
With the national team’s jersey being a symbol of pride for players, the FIP Euro Padel Cup is set to make history in the world of padel. The event promises to be an exciting showcase of talent and a celebration of the sport’s global reach.
