How to win a point with a proper sliced forehand volley

A sliced forehand volley in padel is a shot where you hit the ball with a slice, causing it to spin backward, while performing a volley close to the net. Here’s how to execute it:

  1. Position yourself close to the net with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Keep your racket slightly above ball height and make a short swing forward.
  3. Hit the ball with an open racket face to add a little slice, making the ball spin backward as it flies.
  4. Make a short follow-through with your racket and keep a balanced position with your feet.

The goal of the sliced forehand volley is to slow the ball down and make it difficult for your opponent to predict its trajectory and return it effectively.

Here a nice video about it.
