The week leading up to the CUPRA FIP Tour is quite busy. In Antalya, Turkey, where padel is expanding quickly, there is also a FIP promotion going on. Twelve of the 20 pairs in the men’s draw have already advanced to the round of 16, with two Italian couples at the top of the entrance list. Simone Cremona and Lorenzo Di Giovanni, who rank 123 and 126 in the FIP standings, respectively, are the top seeds.
However, Flavio Abbate and Giulio Graziotti, who are in the bottom half, are enjoying fantastic careers and are vying for their fourth consecutive crown after winning in Kaunas, London (Rocks Lane), and Nola. Thijs Roper, another Dutchman, and Britishman Samuel Jones, the number four seed, round up the entry list podium. Two Dutchmen, Ten Richters and Bram Meijer, are also included. The main draw will take place on the courts of the Nirvana Cosmopolitan Hotel starting on Friday.
