Brighton and Hove Albion FC is set to enhance its training facilities with the construction of a new padel complex. The club’s training ground in Lancing has received planning permission from Adur and Worthing councils to build two covered padel courts. The development will include a two-storey building with changing rooms, office and classroom space, and a seating area.

The padel courts will be situated under a dome-shaped canopy, designed to reduce energy consumption by allowing more sunlight in. The building will also feature PV panels to improve energy efficiency. The site will be levelled and resurfaced with 3G material, and a biodiversity enhancement project will involve planting a tree in a nearby grassland area.

The new facility will provide indoor padel courts, a seating/social area, changing rooms, and a multifunctional space on the first floor. Access to the complex will be maintained through the existing training centre entrance. The project aims to offer players a fun and engaging way to stay fit while also contributing to the club’s sustainability efforts.

Brighton and Hove Albion FC’s commitment to enhancing its training facilities reflects its dedication to providing top-notch resources for its players and the local community.
