Bea Gonzalez, a prominent figure in the world of padel, was unable to participate in the Premier Padel P1 final in Riyadh. Gonzalez, who was set to compete alongside her partner Claudia Fernandez, had to withdraw from the match due to an injury.

The final, which was highly anticipated by fans and spectators, was supposed to feature Gonzalez and Fernandez against the formidable duo of Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez. However, Gonzalez’s injury led to a precautionary decision to withdraw from the match to ensure her long-term health and prevent further complications.

Gonzalez took to social media to reassure her fans and followers about her condition. She expressed her disappointment at not being able to compete in the final but emphasized the importance of prioritizing her health. “For all those wondering why we didn’t play the final in Riyadh, I want to say that I’m fine. I’m still in the recovery phase after my injury, and even though I feel perfectly well without any discomfort, we need to remain cautious. The season is long, and we want to continue taking care of everything possible during these early tournaments,” Gonzalez shared.

The decision to withdraw was made in consultation with the Premier Padel medical team, who agreed that it was best for Gonzalez to focus on her recovery. As a result, Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez were declared the champions of the Riyadh Season Premier Padel P1 without having to compete in the final match.

Despite the unfortunate turn of events, Gonzalez remains optimistic and is already preparing for her next tournament in Gijon. She is determined to return to the court stronger and continue her successful career in padel. The Premier Padel community has extended their best wishes to Gonzalez for a speedy recovery and eagerly awaits her return to the sport.

This was her post.

“For all of you who ask why we don’t play the final in Riyadh, I can say that I’m fine. I’m still in the process of recovering from the injury and, although I feel perfectly fine without any discomfort, we have to be calm.

The season is very long and we want to continue to take care and protect it as much as possible in these first tournaments 🙏🏽
So, back to Madrid, after a super positive week, to recover, train and prepare for the next tournament!
See you in Gijon!”
