Dubai Duty Free has announced its sponsorship of the inaugural Dubai Premier Padel P1 tournament, set to take place from November 3-10, 2024, at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium in Garhoud. This partnership marks a significant milestone for both the event and the city, as it brings together a major homegrown brand with a rich history in sports and retail.
The Dubai Premier Padel P1 is part of the newly unified 25-tournament Premier Padel tour, which spans 18 countries across five continents. The event will feature the world’s top male and female padel players, competing for a substantial prize pool. As a P1 classified tournament, it is mandatory for the sport’s leading players to participate, ensuring a high level of competition and excitement.
Dubai Duty Free’s involvement in the tournament is a natural extension of its long-standing commitment to supporting major sporting events in the region. The company has been a key player in organizing and sponsoring various sports, including tennis, golf, rugby, and basketball. The week-long tournament will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Sports Council. It is a collaborative effort supported by the UAE Padel Association, the Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai Sports Council, Premier Padel, and Gallop Global.
