Bea González will not be able to play the semi-finals at home. Together with Delfi Brea, both of them overcame a tough test on Friday against Osoro-Marrero , in a match that lasted over two and a half hours but which they ended up winning 6-2, 2-6 and 6-4.
In the post-match interview with Bárbara Vitantonio, the Malaga native was happy and thanked her fans for filling the stands and cheering them on with everything, encouraging them for tomorrow’s match.
However, Premier Padel issued a statement announcing that the local player had withdrawn from the tournament due to injury and will not be playing in the semi-finals at the Martín Carpena. This means that Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernández have direct access to the final.
This was the official statement:
“Official statement: changes in the order of play of the semifinals due to the withdrawal of the González – Brea pair after the injury of Bea González.
Much encouragement and a speedy recovery.”
