Improvements have been made to the calendar for the 2024 season for players and spectators alike, particularly in Spain, the home of the sport, by Premier Padel and the International Padel Federation (FIP). After discussions between the FIP and Premier Padel, the world’s premier unified men’s and women’s professional circuit, Premier Padel, will hold a P2 indoor tournament in the breathtaking city of Valladolid from September 16–22, 2024, to mark its debut. The Pisuerga Sports Center will host the Valladolid Premier Padel P2 competition, while the iconic Plaza Mayor of Valladolid will play host to the event’s following edition in 2025.
In order to implement this modification, the FIP Valladolid Platinum event has been rescheduled from its planned June date in Valladolid to a Premier Padel P2 tournament. Additionally, the FIP has added the FIP Gold Valladolid tournament to the CUPRA FIP Tour program. It will take place in the “Raqueta Valladolid” club in Spain, one of the most active padel regions, from June 24 to 30, 2024. A second tournament in Sardinia, the FIP Platinum Sardegna, is part of the CUPRA FIP Tour. It takes place in Cagliari from July 15 to 21, the week before the FIP European Padel Championships, the last stage of the European padel circuit, which also takes place in the same city (Cagliari, July 22–28).
Additional significant modifications to the 2024 season calendar are as follows:
The dates of the Genova Premier Padel P2 competition are July 2–7, 2024, rather than July 15–21 as previously announced.
The Premier Padel P2 event in Germany is rescheduling for the 2025 season, having previously been set for September 16–22, 2024.
The October 21–27 NewGiza Premier Padel tournament will move up to the P2 level.
