Following her temporary departure from professional padel in December 2022, Marta Marrero is getting ready to return to the courts. The Canarian made this announcement in an interview with the publication Sport, explaining that she plans to rejoin the professional circuit in June of next year.
After becoming a mother and reaching 41 years old, the former paddle tennis and tennis player hopes to compete at the top level again, this time with fresh energy and a unique experience. “My coach, Mati, and I have made a decision. We wanted to do the best we could and were not in a rush. Of course, my young kid comes first. I’m thrilled and I feel great. I’ve adjusted.
But, beyond the good news about her return, Marta has not revealed many more details either. The one from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has admitted that “she has a partner in mind” , but that she still can’t say anything else because she has a project and “anything can happen.” Of course, she has assured that she continues to hit the left side of the court much more due to her aggressive playing style.
In fact, Marrero has already shown through her social networks that she continues to maintain the same touch and quality that has given her so much success as a player.
