Ben Coeulle, a rising padel athlete from Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands, is preparing to participate in a series of fundraising initiatives in support of Breast Cancer UK. At just 23, his energy and drive are channelled toward a cause that hits close to home.
Inspired by a cousin’s diagnosis and ongoing treatment
The inspiration behind Ben’s mission stems from his cousin Danielle, who was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 32. After discovering a lump, she was informed that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. Her journey has included chemotherapy and an upcoming round of radiotherapy, marking a difficult chapter for her and their family.
This is what he said: “Watching her navigate such a life-changing illness has been incredibly tough. It’s shown me just how vital it is to support breast cancer research and raise awareness and I’m determined to make a difference.”
