The Pro Padel League (PPL) is the first professional padel league based in North America, created to elevate the sport’s profile across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. With padel rapidly gaining popularity worldwide, the PPL aims to provide a premier platform for elite competition while introducing the sport to a broader audience.

Launched in 2023, the league features teams representing major cities such as Miami, San Diego, Toronto, Cancun, and Las Vegas. Each team consists of eight players, with a minimum of six hailing from North America, ensuring a strong regional identity while welcoming international talent.

The league’s format is designed for excitement and accessibility. Events include men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles matches, with fast-paced scoring systems and a condensed schedule that keeps fans engaged. The season culminates in the PPL Cup Final, where the top teams battle for the championship and a share of the league’s substantial prize pool.

Beyond the court, the PPL is focused on growing the sport through media exposure, youth development, and partnerships with clubs and sponsors. Its arrival has sparked enthusiasm among fans and athletes alike, positioning padel as a rising force in the North American sports landscape.

Now, in a landmark move, the league is crossing the Atlantic to host its first European event in San Sebastian, Spain. Scheduled for July 10 to 13, 2025, the tournament will take place at the Real Club de Tenis de San Sebastián, where a 1,500-seat center court will be specially constructed to welcome fans and showcase elite-level competition.
