San Sebastian is set to welcome the Pro Padel League’s European premiere, as the booming padel competition arrives in Spain for the first time. The northern city will play host to a high-profile tournament from July 10 to 13, featuring a lineup of internationally renowned players and electrifying matchups.
This expansion follows the league’s successful exhibition in Miami, where fans embraced the dynamic format and players showcased their flair and athleticism. Now, with the spotlight shifting to the historic Basque region—a location that hasn’t seen major padel action since the days of the World Padel Tour—the excitement is palpable.
The player roster already boasts star names such as Federico Chingotto, Gemma Triay, Delfi Brea, Agustín Tapia, Ari Sánchez, Marta Ortega, Jon Sanz, and Lucas Bergamini. More high-caliber athletes are expected to be announced in the lead-up to the tournament. These athletes will compete on a specially constructed 1,500-seat center court at the indoor facilities of the Real Club de Tenis, transforming the space into a stage worthy of world-class competition.
With its European entry, the Pro Padel League continues its rapid ascent, drawing in new audiences and reinforcing its global ambitions. San Sebastian is poised to offer both a fierce sporting contest and a celebration of padel culture, all set against the scenic backdrop of Spain’s northern coast.
