Miami and New York celebrate titles on final day of Pro Padel League Miami with Tapia in the spotlight

The final day of the Pro Padel League Miami delivered thrilling action and dramatic comebacks as champions were crowned in both the Men’s and Women’s divisions. With packed stands and high-stakes matches, the event concluded with Miami Padel Club and the New York Atlantics lifting the trophies.

In the Women’s Division final, the New York Atlantics edged out the Flowrida Goats in a gripping three-set battle. Andrea Ustero and Ariana Sanchez held their nerve in the match tiebreak, sealing the win 7-6, 3-6, 10-7. Their victory capped off a dominant week for the Atlantics, who showcased consistency and resilience throughout the tournament.

The Men’s Division final saw a stunning comeback from the Miami Padel Club duo of Agustín Tapia and Eduardo Alonso. After dropping the first set 1-6 to Cancun Waves’ Alex Ruiz and Franco Dal Bianco, the Miami pair rallied to take the second set 6-3 and clawed back from 0-3 in the match tiebreak to win 10-8. The home crowd erupted as Miami clinched the title in dramatic fashion.

In the third-place matches, Las Vegas Smash secured a straight-sets win over Cancun Waves in the Women’s Division. Marta Ortega and Alejandra Alonso delivered a composed performance to win 6-4, 6-4. Meanwhile, the New York Atlantics added more points to their tally in the Men’s Division, with Lucas Campagnolo and Jon Sanz overcoming Flowrida Goats’ Pablo Cardona and Leo Augsburger 4-6, 6-3, 10-4.

The week-long competition featured 10 teams vying for points to qualify for the PPL City’s Cup this October. The New York Atlantics now lead the league standings with 40 points, combining their first-place finish in the Women’s Division and third-place result in the Men’s. Miami’s triumph on home soil also boosts their position heading into the next stage of the season.
