Jurgen Klopp is embracing a new chapter in his post-Liverpool life by opening a padel club at the Mallorca Country Club in Santa Ponsa. The former Premier League-winning manager, who recently stepped away from football, is channeling his passion for the sport into a fresh venture on the Spanish island he now calls home.
Klopp, a longtime enthusiast of padel, has previously had courts installed at Liverpool’s training ground and in Germany. His involvement with the Mallorca Country Club marks a deeper commitment to the sport, as he takes on a leadership role in developing what is expected to become a premier padel destination in the region.
The announcement was made during the opening of the Mallorca Championships, an ATP event hosted at the club. Klopp participated in an exhibition match and expressed his admiration for the island’s lifestyle, praising its people, food, and atmosphere.
With this new project, Klopp continues to stay active and engaged in the world of sport, albeit in a different arena. His presence is expected to bring increased visibility and enthusiasm to padel, a sport rapidly growing in popularity across Europe.
