With the Valladolid Premier Padel P2 just around the corner, the tournament has already delivered a surprise before the first serve. Due to injuries sidelining their regular partners—Martín Di Nenno and Tino Libaak—both Juan Tello and Javi Garrido have announced new pairings for the event.

Tello will team up with the legendary Miguel Lamperti, forming an all-Argentine duo that brings experience and flair to the court. Known for his charisma and powerful play, Lamperti joins Tello in what promises to be a dynamic partnership. Despite both players typically occupying the left side of the court, Tello is expected to adapt to the right, a position he has handled in the past alongside Paquito Navarro.

Meanwhile, Garrido will partner with Diego Gil, a physically dominant player from the Canary Islands. The pair enters the tournament as the 13th seed, bringing a mix of power and agility that could prove dangerous in the fast-paced conditions expected in Valladolid.

These temporary alliances were made possible through the Lucky Loser system, allowing last-minute changes due to injury. The tournament, set in the iconic Plaza Mayor, will run from June 23 to 29 and is already generating buzz with these unexpected team formations. Fans are eager to see how these new duos perform under pressure and whether they can shake up the established order on the Premier Padel circuit.
