The World Padel League is set to return for its third season with a surge of energy, thanks to the addition of two new franchises and a growing fanbase. Scheduled to take place from August 12 to 16 at the Nesco Center in Mumbai, the upcoming edition promises five days of high-octane action featuring top international talent and rising Indian stars.

Following a successful debut in India earlier this year, the league is expanding from four to six teams, reflecting the rapid growth of padel across the country. Participation and infrastructure have more than doubled in the past year, signaling a shift in India’s sporting landscape. The previous season saw 32 international players compete, and Season 3 is expected to feature an even larger and more diverse roster.

Organizers have emphasized their ambition to deliver a world-class experience that appeals to both seasoned fans and newcomers. The league’s co-founder, Hemali Sharma, highlighted the significance of this expansion, noting that India is emerging as a key growth hub for padel in Asia.

The SG Pipers Cheetahs, who clinched the title in the last edition by defeating the Vernost Jaguars, will return to defend their crown in what is shaping up to be the most competitive season yet. With new teams, fresh rivalries, and a vibrant atmosphere, the World Padel League is poised to elevate the sport’s profile and captivate audiences across the region.
