HIGHLIGHTS. Galán and Chingotto rise again in Rome with a commanding victory over Coello and Tapia

Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto reaffirmed their dominance on the Premier Padel stage by clinching the Italy Major title in Rome for the second consecutive year. In a thrilling final at the Foro Italico, they overcame world number ones Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia with a composed and clinical performance, winning 6-3, 7-5.

The match was a rematch of last year’s final, and once again, Galán and Chingotto proved to be the superior pair on Italian soil. Despite a slow start from Galán, the duo quickly found their rhythm, applying relentless pressure at the net and executing their strategy with near perfection. Chingotto’s defensive consistency and Galán’s explosive offense created a dynamic that Coello and Tapia struggled to counter.

This victory ended a nine-match losing streak against their top-seeded rivals and marked their fourth title of the season, drawing them level with Coello and Tapia in the race for the most tournament wins in 2025. The final was played in front of a record-breaking crowd of 33,000 fans, adding to the electric atmosphere of the Rome Major.

Galán and Chingotto’s triumph in Rome solidifies their status as one of the most formidable duos in the sport, and their pursuit of the top ranking continues with growing momentum.
