The Premier Padel circuit returns to Paraguay this week with the highly anticipated Asunción P2 tournament. The event, running from May 20 to May 25, will take place at the UENO SND Arena in Asunción, Paraguay. The venue is known for its modern infrastructure and dynamic atmosphere, making it a prime location for world-class padel competitions.

Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello, winners of the previous tournament, will be among the favorites in the men’s draw. Their potential path includes matchups against Deus/Deus in the round of 32, Goenaga/Hernández in the round of 16, and possible quarterfinal clashes with Bergamini/Navarro or Libaak/Garrido. Meanwhile, Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto will face Abud/González in their opening match, with a possible semifinal showdown against Di Nenno/Tello or Yanguas/Nieto.

In the women’s draw, reigning champions Paula Josemaría and Ari Sánchez will look to defend their title. Their projected route includes matches against Iglesias/Guinart in the round of 16, Alonso/Ortega in the quarterfinals, and Bea González and Claudia Fernández in the semifinals. Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea will also be strong contenders, facing Collombon/Martínez early on and potentially meeting Virseda/Salazar in the quarterfinals.

The tournament will be played indoors, creating fast conditions that could favor aggressive play. Fans can watch the early rounds for free on Premier Padel’s YouTube channel, while Red Bull TV will broadcast matches from the quarterfinals onward. ESPN holds the rights for coverage across South America and Central America, ensuring wide access to the event.

With top-tier talent and exciting matchups, the Asunción P2 promises to deliver high-quality padel action as players gear up for the next phase of the season.
