The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has announced plans to build three padel centers in major cities as part of its efforts to promote the sport across the country. The new facilities will be located in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi, providing greater access to players and enthusiasts.
Padel has been gaining popularity in Pakistan, particularly in urban areas where private courts have already been established. However, the sport remains relatively expensive, limiting participation. The PSB aims to make padel more accessible by setting up courts at the Jinnah Sports Complex in Islamabad, the National Coaching Centre in Lahore, and the National Coaching Centre in Karachi.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to improve sports infrastructure in Pakistan. The upcoming 2025–26 federal budget is expected to include funding for additional projects, such as a new tartan track and expanded seating at the National Coaching Centre in Karachi.
With these developments, the PSB hopes to encourage more people to take up padel and strengthen Pakistan’s presence in the sport. The new centers will provide opportunities for both recreational players and competitive athletes, fostering growth at all levels.
