Powerleague has announced a £2.2 million investment to bring padel courts to Scotland, marking the largest infrastructure expansion for the sport in the country. The project will introduce 11 new courts across three locations—Paisley, Portobello, and Sighthill—by the end of 2025.

The first site, Paisley, is set to open in July, followed by Portobello later that month and Sighthill in October. Each location will feature newly refurbished bars and clubhouses, creating a welcoming environment for players to socialize before and after matches.

This initiative is part of Powerleague’s broader £14 million UK-wide expansion, which aims to make padel more accessible to communities beyond traditional tennis clubs. The company’s CEO, Christian Rose, emphasized the sport’s rapid growth and its appeal as a fun, social, and inclusive activity.

With over 25 million players worldwide, padel continues to gain popularity, and Powerleague’s investment is expected to further boost its presence in Scotland. The company remains committed to expanding opportunities for players of all levels, ensuring that the sport reaches new audiences across the country.
