Tino Libaak teams up with Álex Chozas for 2026 Premier Padel season

The Premier Padel circuit will welcome a fresh partnership in 2026 as young Argentinian talent Tino Libaak joins forces with compatriot Álex Chozas. The move was confirmed by their agent, Lisandro Borges, during an Argentina Padel Tour event. The pairing brings together two world champions who already share chemistry from past experiences representing Argentina and competing together at the 2024 P2 tournament in Finland.

Shared potential and offensive strength

Libaak and Chozas form a duo with a distinctly Argentinian identity, combining youth, balance, and offensive firepower. Their qualities make them a dangerous pairing for any opponent. Having already tested their partnership in international competition, they now aim to build consistency and results across the full Premier Padel season.

Libaak’s comeback from injury

For Libaak, the new partnership marks a fresh start after a challenging 2025 season disrupted by a serious lower back injury. The Villa Mercedes native, born in 2005, had impressed early in the year alongside Juan Tello before being sidelined for four months. He returned at the Germany Premier Padel P2 with Franco Dal Bianco and later played with Jairo Bautista, reaching the round of 16 in Rotterdam, Dubai, and Acapulco as he worked to regain form.

Chozas searching for rhythm

Chozas, meanwhile, is looking to rediscover the level he showed in 2024, when he emerged as one of the breakout stars after moving up from A1 Pádel. His 2025 season was marked by inconsistency, sharing the court with Álex Ruiz, Sanyo Gutiérrez, and Tolito Aguirre, and finishing ranked 29th in the FIP standings. His best results were three quarterfinal appearances, but the new partnership with Libaak offers a chance to reset and aim higher.

Redemption and ambition

Both players, crowned world champions in 2024, see this partnership as an opportunity to redeem themselves after a difficult year. With their combined talent and determination, Libaak and Chozas will be one of the most closely watched duos in the 2026 Premier Padel season, carrying the hopes of Argentinian padel fans and the promise of exciting battles ahead.
