From December 11 to 14, Barcelona hosts the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Finals 2025 at the Palau Sant Jordi. The event, alongside the four Majors, is the highlight of the padel calendar and features the top sixteen male players and the top sixteen female players. Fans can expect four days of high-level competition and spectacle in one of the sport’s most iconic venues.
A knockout format
Unlike tennis Finals, the padel season finale does not include a round-robin stage. Instead, it follows a traditional knockout format, with quarterfinals played on Thursday and Friday, semifinals on Saturday, and both the third-place matches and finals on Sunday. The response from the public has been remarkable, with tickets for Saturday and Sunday already sold out, while seats remain available for the quarterfinals.
Men’s draw highlights
The men’s quarterfinals open with a clash between former partners: Lebron and Augsburger against Di Nenno and Stupaczuk. The winner is likely to face Tapia and Coello, who are eager to redeem themselves after last year’s surprising loss in the final to Coki Nieto and Jon Sanz. On the other side of the draw, Ale Galan and Federico Chingotto debut against Momo Gonzalez and Fran Guerrero, while Yanguas and Nieto meet Sanz and Paquito Navarro in what will be Navarro’s last tournament with his current partner.
Women’s draw highlights
The women’s competition features a historic farewell. Ari Sanchez and Paula Josemaria, one of the most successful pairs in recent years, will part ways after this season. They aim to close their partnership with another triumph, though their opening match against Salazar and Calvo promises to be challenging. A potential semifinal against Bea and Claudia, fresh from their Major win in Acapulco, adds intrigue. On the opposite side, world No 1 duo Gemma Triay and Delfina Brea enter as the clear favorites to reach the final.
Schedule of play
On Thursday, Ortega and Icardo face Araujo and Ustero, followed by Lebron and Augsburger against Di Nenno and Stupaczuk. Later, Triay and Brea meet Guinart and Virseda, while Tapia and Coello take on Bergamini and Leal. Friday’s matches include Fernandez and Gonzalez against Alonso and Jensen, Yanguas and Nieto against Sanz and Paquito, Salazar and Calvo against Sanchez and Josemaria, and Galan and Chingotto against Gonzalez and Guerrero. Saturday is reserved for the semifinals, while Sunday hosts both the third-place matches and the finals.
Broadcast coverage
Fans worldwide will be able to follow the Premier Padel Finals through extensive coverage. Matches will be broadcast on SuperTennis (channel 64 on digital terrestrial), on Sky Sport (Sky Sport Arena channel 204 and Sky Sport Max channel 206), and streamed live on Red Bull TV. The combination of elite competition and global visibility ensures that the Barcelona Finals will be one of the most memorable events of the padel season.
