Padel continues its rapid rise worldwide, with the latest FIP World Padel Report 2025 confirming impressive statistics. The number of active players has surpassed 35 million, while clubs have increased by 16.1%, courts by 15.2%, and registered federation members by 42% compared to last year. These figures were presented during the General Assembly in Acapulco, Mexico, and compiled through the FIP National Federation Survey 2025.
Expansion Across Continents
The sport’s development now spans all five continents. FIP-organized tournaments grew from 182 in 2024 to 290 in 2025, involving more than 11,000 athletes across professional and junior rankings. Facilities have expanded significantly: clubs rose by 4,775 units to exceed 24,600, while 14,355 new courts were built, bringing the global total to 77,300 across 150 nations and 20 dependent territories.
Digital and Social Media Presence
Padel’s growth is also evident online. The FIP website recorded 3.8 million unique users and 70 million page views, a tenfold increase compared to 2023. Followers on official social media channels have surged by 400% in two years, rising from 210,000 in 2023 to 850,000 in 2025 across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn.
Participation and Continental Growth
The report introduces a new chapter analyzing growth at the continental level. It identifies countries experiencing strong expansion, emerging nations, and those consolidating their presence in the sport. This section also highlights the rise in amateur participation and the increasing number of clubs and courts worldwide.
Competition Organization
The report details the history and statistics of the three FIP circuits: Premier Padel, CUPRA FIP Tour, and FIP Promises. It also includes the roll of honor of world competitions, covering professional, junior, and senior categories, with rankings by nation and by pairs.
Performance and Player Statistics
A dedicated section analyzes men’s and women’s rankings for both professional and junior players. It also explores curiosities about top athletes, such as their birth cities, heights, and generational trends. The report identifies the year of birth with the highest number of Top 100 and Top 300 players, as well as standout Under-21 and Over-35 athletes who achieved notable rankings in 2024.
National Federations and Future Expansion
The second part of the report profiles each of the 87 national federations affiliated with FIP in 2025. Starting next year, national associations will also be included, raising the total to over 100. This section provides data on coaching licenses and national participation in international team competitions, further illustrating the sport’s institutional growth.
