Asics has announced the release of its latest padel shoe, the SONICSMASH™ FF, a model engineered specifically for the fast-paced demands of padel. As the sport continues to expand globally, Asics aims to provide athletes with footwear that enhances speed, agility, and comfort on the court.
Professional insight in design
The SONICSMASH™ FF was developed with input from professional padel player Coki Nieto, currently ranked World #8. Known for his quick playing style, Nieto’s feedback helped shape a shoe tailored for offensive players seeking lightweight responsiveness.

Advanced outsole technology
The shoe features a padel-specific outsole with a diagonal herringbone pattern for superior grip. It integrates X-GROOVE™ technology to enhance flexibility and traction during directional changes. Two circular pivot points at the front of the outsole allow smooth foot rotation, supporting dynamic movements.
Midsole engineering for speed
Asics has combined FLYTEFOAM™ technology for lightweight cushioning with SPEEDTRUSS™ technology for heightened reactivity. This synergy enables players to accelerate quickly while maintaining comfort throughout intense matches.
