Ariel Saravia designs a brutal fitness test to compare players with Agustín Tapia

The episode, titled The Hardest Fitness Test in Padel, sets out to compare the host’s physical level with that of Agustín Tapia. Ariel Saravia, Tapia’s fitness coach, designed a series of drills focusing on agility, endurance, and explosive movement to replicate the intensity of professional padel.

Saravia’s philosophy

Saravia explained that the purpose of the test was not only to highlight differences but to show what it takes to train like a professional.

“You can’t train like a pro unless you understand what a pro endures,” he said.

Involvement of pro players

Rama Valenzuela, Tino Libaak, and other rising padel talents joined the session, adding credibility and competitive edge. Their participation demonstrated the standards required to succeed at the highest level and offered insights into recovery and preparation routines.

Results and motivation

The scores revealed a significant gap in stamina, precision, and explosive power compared to Tapia’s baseline. While the outcome was challenging, it served as motivation to continue training and revisit the test after weeks of preparation.
