In her interview with El Mundo, she underlined how the growing crowds are vital for the recognition and sustainability of the women’s game. “Women’s padel is attracting a lot of spectators. It would be worrying if we played with empty stands because they would say we have no reason to earn more, but the reasons are there, the effort is the same, we have the same expenses,” said Triay.
Triay emphasized that female players face the same demands as men, both in terms of training and financial commitments. Her comments highlight the need for parity in how the sport values its athletes. The growing audience, she argued, is evidence that women’s padel deserves greater visibility and fair compensation.
