Acapulco prepares to host the Mexico Major Premier Padel 2025 with global impact

From November 24 to 30, Acapulco will welcome the Mexico Major Premier Padel 2025, a high-profile international tournament set to take place at the GNP Seguros Arena within the Mundo Imperial complex. The event will feature over 100 of the world’s top padel players and is expected to draw more than 35,000 attendees.

According to state officials, the tournament will generate an estimated economic impact of 250 million pesos and will be broadcast to over 220 countries, reinforcing Acapulco’s position on the global sports stage.

Official announcement and local support

The announcement was made by Simón Quiñones Orozco, Secretary of Tourism of Guerrero, representing Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda. The governor’s office expressed pride in hosting such a prestigious event, highlighting its significance for the region’s tourism and international visibility.

“Acapulco is once again hosting a world-class event, reaffirming its role as a global benchmark for sports and a reliable destination for major international competitions,” said Quiñones Orozco.

A milestone for padel in Latin America

The Mexico Major Premier Padel is part of the GNP Acapulco Premier Padel circuit and ranks among the four most important padel tournaments worldwide. For the first time, Acapulco will also host the General Assembly of the International Padel Federation (FIP), bringing together 117 federation presidents from across the globe.

Jorge Mañé, president of the Mexican Padel Federation (Femepa), emphasized the historical significance of this edition.

“This will be a turning point in the history of Mexican padel, making Acapulco the world cradle of the sport. There will be surprises and important announcements for the development of padel in Latin America,” Mañé stated.

A symbol of recovery and strength

The event’s presentation also featured Seyed Rezvani, general director of Mundo Imperial, and Santiago Piedras González, sponsorship and events manager of Banca Mifel. Both highlighted the importance of the tournament in showcasing Acapulco’s resilience and capacity to host international events.

With global broadcast coverage and a strong lineup of elite athletes, the Mexico Major Premier Padel 2025 is set to be a landmark moment for both the sport and the city of Acapulco.
