Padel is making its debut in the heart of Bradford as Salus Padel prepares to open the city’s first central courts later this month. The new facility, located at Wardley House, is part of a broader leisure complex developed by Bene Leisure and aims to become a hub for sport, wellness, and community engagement.
Salus Padel has partnered with Dunlop Sports, a global leader in racquet sports, to serve as the official equipment and ball provider for the venue. The collaboration will see Dunlop supply bats and balls for the four panoramic padel courts, setting a high standard for quality and performance.
A multi-sport destination with community focus
Beyond padel, the facility will offer a wide range of amenities, including cricket nets and simulators powered by HiTZ Cricket, a sauna and ice baths, a café operated by CAWA Coffee, and a dedicated viewing area. A gym and Pilates studio are also scheduled to open early next year, reinforcing the site’s mission to promote health and wellbeing.
Jim Lord, director of development and partnerships at Salus Padel, emphasized the inclusive vision behind the project. “We want to do padel differently, and create a sense of belonging for all players who want to come and enjoy padel,” he said. “Dunlop felt like the perfect brand to partner with, and we are very grateful for their support.”
Dunlop’s commitment to growing the sport
Dunlop Sports, already the official partner of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), sees this partnership as part of its broader mission to grow racquet sports across the UK. Chris Baird, UK marketing manager at Dunlop, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. “At Dunlop, we massively care about spreading health and happiness throughout the sport, and we are thrilled to be partnering with a company that holds these same values in their practice,” he said. “We look forward to seeing the beginning of Salus Padel in Bradford, and we are excited to see where this partnership goes in future projects as well.”
With its combination of elite equipment, modern facilities, and a strong community ethos, Salus Padel is poised to become a landmark for padel enthusiasts in Bradford and beyond.
