HIGHLIGHTS. Tapia and Chingotto triumph in the men’s draw while Sánchez and Ustero lead the Atlantics to team victory

Agustín Tapia and Fede Chingotto claimed the men’s title, Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero triumphed in the women’s draw, and the New York Atlantics emerged as team champions in a thrilling finale to the Pro Padel League 2025.

Tapia and Chingotto Crowned in New York

Agustín Tapia and Fede Chingotto, usually rivals on the Premier Padel circuit, joined forces for the Pro Padel League and delivered a flawless campaign for the Miami Padel Club. Their synergy was evident from the outset, culminating in a 7-6, 6-3 victory over Lucas Bergamini and Pablo Bautista in the final.

The duo’s journey was marked by dominance: they dispatched Jofre and Arroyo in the quarterfinals, overcame Augsburger and Rubini in the semis, and sealed the title in front of a packed Hammerstein Ballroom. Their reunion was made possible by a last-minute change in Chingotto’s schedule, originally set to compete in Lyon.

“We knew we had unfinished business in the U.S., and this win means a lot,” said Tapia.

Sánchez and Ustero Shine in the Women’s Draw

Ariana Sánchez and Andrea Ustero stunned the field with a commanding performance. Their semifinal win over favourites Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea set the tone for a confident final, where they defeated Vero Virseda and Claudia Jensen 6-2, 7-5.

Representing the New York Atlantics, Sánchez and Ustero displayed remarkable composure and tactical clarity. Their success not only secured the women’s title but hinted at a promising future partnership.

“We clicked from the first point. It felt natural,” said Sánchez.

New York Atlantics Clinch Team Championship

While Miami Padel Club celebrated the men’s title, the overall team crown went to the New York Atlantics. Their triumph was built on Sánchez and Ustero’s gold and a crucial third-place finish by Jon Sanz and Lucas Campagnolo in the men’s draw.

The standings were fiercely contested, with the San Diego Stingrays finishing just two points behind. Their consistent performance across both categories earned them runner-up status, but the Atlantics’ balanced success proved decisive.

A Season of Growth and Spectacle

The Pro Padel League 2025 concluded with a vibrant showcase in Manhattan, reinforcing its role as a leading force in American padel. With elite talent, dramatic matchups, and growing fan engagement, the league continues to expand its reach and elevate the sport’s profile.

“Padel is exploding in the U.S., and this league is at the heart of it,” said league commissioner Marcos del Pilar.
