Ale Galán says he’s far from done with padel, insisting he’s improving every year and feels stronger now than when he was world No. 1.

Ale Galán, one of the most accomplished padel players in the world, has made it clear that retirement is not on his radar. In a recent interview with El Mundo, he spoke candidly about his ongoing development and the motivation that drives him.

“The day I stop will come when I feel there’s nothing left to improve, but right now I keep getting better every year,” he said.

Stronger Than Ever

Despite having reached world No. 1, Galán believes his current level surpasses anything he achieved during his time at the top. His confidence stems from years of refinement, tactical growth, and physical conditioning.

“In fact, I’m a much better player now than when I was number one in the world. Much better!” he commented.

No Ceiling in Sight

Galán’s ambition remains undiminished. At 29, he continues to train with intensity and focus, convinced that his best is yet to come.

“My ceiling is still far away,” he added.

A Voice in the Sport

Beyond his performance on court, Galán has played a key role in shaping the future of padel. As a former president of the players’ association, he has advocated for better conditions and greater visibility for the sport worldwide.
