The inaugural FIP Asia Padel Cup will be held in Doha, Qatar from October 17 to 24, 2025, bringing together national teams from across Asia and Oceania for a landmark continental competition.
A New Chapter for Padel in Asia
Organized by the International Padel Federation in collaboration with the Qatar Tennis Federation and Padel Asia, the event marks the first official continental cup for the region. Hosted at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, the tournament will feature both male and female national teams competing in two phases.
The first stage, running from October 17 to 19, will include 17 national teams ranked between 5th and 21st in Asia and Oceania. These teams will be divided into four groups, with group winners advancing to the final stage. From October 20 to 24, the top four ranked teams in the region will join the qualifiers to compete for the title.
Growing Momentum in Qatar
Qatar has emerged as a key player in the development of padel across Asia. The country’s commitment to hosting international events and building world-class facilities has positioned it as a regional hub for the sport. The FIP Asia Padel Cup is expected to further boost padel’s visibility and popularity in the Middle East.
“Logistical and technical preparations are nearly complete to welcome participating teams,” said Tariq Zainal, President of the Asian Padel Federation and Secretary-General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel, and Badminton Federation.
A Diverse Field of Competitors
14 countries have confirmed their participation, including Bahrain, China, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates. Among the standout athletes is Jessica Marie Agra of the Philippines, currently ranked No. 149 in the FIP rankings and leading her national team into the competition.
“It would be a dream come true even just to be part of the highest level of padel,” said Agra, reflecting on her rise in the rankings and the opportunity to represent her country on a continental stage.

The FIP Asia Padel Cup represents a major step in the sport’s expansion across Asia and Oceania. With growing infrastructure, increased participation, and strategic partnerships, padel is poised to become a fixture in the region’s sporting landscape.
