The Pro Padel League (PPL) has announced the full acquisition of the Los Angeles Beat franchise by Los Angeles Beat Partners, LLC. The transaction, described as record-setting, includes a strategic investment into the league itself, aimed at accelerating expansion, boosting media visibility, and enhancing commercial development. This move follows the New York Atlantics’ recent addition of tennis star Frances Tiafoe to their ownership group, reinforcing PPL’s rapid rise as the premier professional padel league in North America.
Leadership and Vision
Los Angeles Beat Partners, LLC., a U.S.-based family partnership with expertise in infrastructure, logistics, and private equity, has appointed David Eisen as Chief Executive Officer and Corey Eisen as President and General Manager. Together, they will oversee team operations, partnerships, and long-term strategy.
“This is our first investment in sports and entertainment, sparked by a passion for padel,” said David Eisen. “We see an exciting opportunity to scale both the team and the league—building global relevance, fan engagement, and a premier platform for players and partners.”
Corey Eisen added, “Our goal is to make the Los Angeles Beat a flagship franchise, attract top talent, and establish LA as a powerhouse for padel in the U.S. With momentum growing nationwide, this is the catalyst to shape the sport’s future and inspire fans across LA and beyond.”
League Endorsement and Strategic Impact
Michael Dorfman, CEO of the Pro Padel League, welcomed the new ownership with enthusiasm. “Welcoming David and Corey to the PPL ownership family marks a major milestone for the league,” he said. “Their vision and operating expertise will elevate the Beat into a premier franchise and accelerate our mission to build padel into a world-class sports property.”
Legal representation for Los Angeles Beat Partners was led by Steven M. Olenick, Chair of the Sports & Entertainment Practice at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., alongside associates Mike Feblowitz and Daniel Lerner. Dentons served as legal counsel for the PPL.
Rebrand Ahead of 2026 Season
The Los Angeles Beat will undergo a comprehensive rebrand ahead of the 2026 season, reflecting the franchise’s new direction and ambition. The rebrand is expected to include visual identity updates, fan engagement initiatives, and expanded community outreach.
